Medicaid Leadership in Times of Transformation and Reform

Anthony D. Rodgers, Director of the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System, spoke to peers and other senior Medicaid staffers during a session titled Medicaid Leadership: An Overview of the Key Elements at the second annual Medicaid Boot Camp, hosted by the National Association of State Medicaid Directors (NASMD) and facilitated by the Center for Health Care Strategies. His message on key leadership issues facing Medicaid directors recognized the current challenges facing states, while providing strategies for moving Medicaid agencies from reactive organizations to proactive value-driven leaders in health care delivery.
