Traveling the SoonerCare Road

Dr. Lynn Mitchell, Oklahoma Medicaid Director, spoke to peers and other senior Medicaid staffers during a session titled Value Based Purchasing: From Basics to Innovation at the second annual Medicaid Boot Camp, hosted by the National Association of State Medicaid Directors (NASMD) and facilitated by the Center for Health Care Strategies. Her presentation focused on value-based purchasing in the SoonerCare Choice program, and provided a roadmap for states regarding the opportunities and challenges for value based purchasing in capitated care versus primary care case management.
